HUNTSVILLE - Hei. Tervetuloa
These are a few words members of the Muskoka Moose over-50 hockey club should practise, along with their on-ice skills, in preparation for a special exhibition game in Huntsville next month.
The Moose will face a team from Finland on March 3 at the Don Lough Arena. The word hei is just that… hi or hello in Finnish. Tervetuloa means welcome.
The World-Renowned Agawa Canyon Snow Train tour is the signature off-ice activity at the 2012 CARHA Hockey World Cup.
The Agawa Canyon Snow Train is a breathtaking journey into the land of the winter giant. Your journey begins at the train depot located in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. As the train pulls away from the station, you will pass through the city’s industrial area, but within minutes the forests will begin to take over and a winter wonderland will unfold before you. As the train winds its way northward, snow laden trees will give way to panoramic views, towering trestles, snow-choked rock cuts, frozen lakes and waterfalls transformed into fantastic ice sculptures by the cold breath of winter. As the train winds its way through this immense land a GPS triggered tour commentary - available in five languages including English, French, German, Japanese and Mandarin.
